Lunawood material was chosen to create a space of calm and relaxation in the Hotel Kaktus from Calella

03/12/2023
The company Byko and the interior designer María Gelpí have created, with the help of Lunawood, a space for rest, meditation and silence, in which the client has a direct approach to nature and relaxation through the combination of natural elements such as wood, water, vegetation, the sounds of nature and its smells.

Lunawood, exclusively distributed by Gabarró, is the star material of the Hotel Calma Suites. The rooms are located in one of the quietest corners of the building and, for this reason, the calm is the concept that serves as inspiration for the remodeling of the space.

The entrance to the Suites Calma gives us access to a large space in which to have a global view of the bedroom, an area to relax, read or watch TV, a balcony overlooking the pool and the vertical garden, and a King bed Size with an imposing Lunawood head that permeates the room with the evocative smell of wood.

In addition, these Suites stand out for their large bathroom with whirlpool tub and a double shower with rain effect. The space, done by our customer Intual Espais & Fusta, is covered with Lunawood, since the heat-treated wood has excellent properties of resistance to humidity. Both for the head and for the coating of the bathroom, heat-treated flange strips have been used.

As we see, heat-treated wood provides a special value to any project that aims to convey naturalness, warmth and originality, as can also be the case of these homes built by the architect Sergio Baragaño.
