HONEXT, an innovative product that we exclusively distribute

Gabarró has signed an exclusive distribution agreement for the innovative HONEXT® board, a sustainable product, from the circular economy and carbon neutral. HONEXT® is an innovative company based in Barcelona and created by researchers from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia that has patented a biotechnological process that transforms residual cellulose into a sustainable, versatile material with excellent properties, to be used in interior applications.

Fully recyclable, non-toxic and made entirely from recycled waste fibres, HONEXT®panels measuring 2440 x 1220 x 12 mm cover a wide range of possibilities for the built interior environment, such as false ceilings, acoustic panels, wall coverings, retail, contract or decorative applications. HONEXT® cellulose fiber can be painted, varnished, veneered or even veneered with HPL, thus expanding its aesthetic possibilities. In addition, it has a fire resistance class C-S1-D0 and good acoustic absorption, bending and resistance to water vapor properties.

Gabarró has decided to bet on the incorporation of this product after having analyzed the existing demand in sectors such as fashion or restaurants, which increasingly demand the possibility of using recycled materials, free of chemical or toxic compounds and that have the maximum sustainability accreditations. This is the case of HONEXT® which is Cradle to Cradle Silver and Material Health Silver certified.
