Now that the circular economy is a reality, HONEXT® sustainable panels are an excellent solution for the construction of walls and ceilings, but they can also be used as shelves and decoration for corporate spaces, offices or shops that want to commit to sustainability. The company converts waste paper fibers using the bio-based, waste-free, resin-free HONEXT® process into fully recyclable, emission-free fiberboard. This new material covers a wide range of applications for the interior built environment, its use in wall cladding and acoustic paneling being particularly noteworthy. A material that can be painted, varnished, veneered or clad on HPL, which broadens its aesthetic possibilities, both at a residential level and for the Contract sector.

Stand Expormim Salone de Milan: Sustainable solutions for fairs and congresses

The Valencia-based design furniture company Expormim has opted for HONEXT® boards for its 200 m2 stand at the 2022 Milan Furniture Fair. The exhibiting company, aware of the amount of waste that modern construction of any kind generates, was committed to the use of recycled and reusable materials for the temporary construction of the project. Taking this premise into account, the interior designer Sylvain Carlet chose HONEXT® boards, 100% circular and free of toxic additives, to design this elegant stand, thus expanding the limits of sustainability towards the circular economy. To cover the walls, the construction company, Biggrup (Bove i Gili Exhibition, S.L.) used a total of 146 HONEXT® boards with a wall coating putty and a Toupret brand plaster mortar on top to create a smooth surface appearance.

Quality Craft Group: Organic and Circular Office Furniture

The Valencian furniture manufacturer Quality Craft Group has designed a piece of furniture with a positive impact made with HONEXT® panels. Its main objective was to implement new materials such as those derived from wood. From the beginning of the project, HONEXT® boards were the material chosen for the design of this piece. The designers opted for an artisan work using natural and traditional materials such as wood and experimenting with the possibilities of this new material. To unite the materials of the piece, which combines reused FSC wood scraps and Honext boards, the designers wanted to go further and look for natural glues and varnishes. To offer durability to the piece, the use of fittings was ruled out and sliding doors on wooden guides were chosen, respecting the qualities and technical characteristics of each material. A successful result that shows how collaboration throughout the value chain can lead to new solutions, having a positive impact.
