Wooden ceilings with laminated beams

03/12/2023

Laminated wooden beams are an ideal material for carrying out projects where the construction elements themselves are expected to be visible, creating highly decorative and at the same time resistant wooden ceilings. These wooden ceilings are suitable for the application of decorative elements such as lighting points, creating much warmer environments.

The slats used to form the wooden beams come from coniferous planks where the typical wood defects, such as knots or resin balls, have previously been eliminated. The natural drying treatment to which said material is subjected before gluing manages to guarantee a product with a humidity of 10%, preventing it from twisting, deforming and shrinking. The smooth finish obtained by the surface of the wooden beams gives the possibility of creating noble and elegant environments, both indoors and outdoors.

At Gabarró Hermanos you can find different types of laminated wood beams, all of them have the PEFC approval certificate:

- Laminated Fir Beams: Beams available in a wide variety of sizes up to 12,000 mm long. It should be borne in mind that this material does not have the Lasure treatment, so it is a product designed for interior structural areas.

- Autoclave Pine laminated beams: Class 3 Autoclave Pine beams are available in 6000mm lengths, with the possibility of choosing different widths and thicknesses. This material is ideal for outdoor use such as pergolas, porches or overhangs.

For lovers of solid wood beams, in Gabarró you can find Soria Pine beams, a much more rustic material with different characteristics from laminated beams.
