On 22 November in the Oval room of the MNAC, took place the 3rd edition of the Festival of Architecture ''Construint la Sala” architecture workshop for children aged 7 to 12 years.
Gabarro always engaged with the world of teaching and awareness of the youngest towards architecture and environment, collaborated as sponsor, offering more than 600 WISA plywood to make the base models.
A few years ago the Dutchman architect, Robert Mulder had the idea to organize in Amsterdam a great Festival of Architecture for children. They had to do a free activity offering participants from 7 to 12 years, the opportunity to experiment with different materials, and advised by professional architects, to allow for a few hours that the imagination, originality, excitement, enthusiasm and creative energy of children be expressed in the form of models built with different materials, in which they performed the home of their dreams.
The year 2007 due to the success of the activity, the Festival came to Barcelona under the name ''Construint la Sala''.
This year for the 150th anniversary of the ''Pla Cerdà'', the theme focused on the brilliant idea of Barcelone Eixample, designed by Ildefons Cerdà.
