With Péladeau, there are no surprises from one load to the next. Whereas many companies merely process lumber, Péladeau nurtures it. All lumber is stacked on Breeze Dried™ sticks placed one foot apart to ensure flatness. Péladeau’s onsite kiln drying capacity consists of nine cells totaling 500,000 board feet. Lumber is treated with utmost care throughout the drying, equalizing and conditioning processes. Quality takes priority over speed.Lumber is re-graded after kiln drying by highly experienced graders that are regularly spot checked for accuracy in accordance with the National Hardwood Lumber Association’s (NHLA) certification program, of which Péladeau is a member. The length and width of every board is electronically scanned at the grading station so that tallies can be generated for customers detailing exactly what is in each pack of lumber. Péladeau is able to precision sort lumber to 1/16” width tolerances for customers that require it.
